Rookery School
Performance & Results
We use assessment and performance information to understand how well pupils are achieving, identify priorities and ensure children receive the support and challenge they need.

Supporting Every Child to Achieve
At Rookery, we have high expectations for every pupil and are committed to providing an ambitious education that enables children to build knowledge, develop skills and make progress from their individual starting points.
Assessment is used purposefully alongside teachers' knowledge of pupils to understand what children know and can do, identify gaps or barriers to learning and inform appropriate teaching, support and challenge.
School leaders and trustees consider performance information as part of their wider evaluation of educational standards and school improvement. This includes considering the achievement of different groups of pupils and ensuring that appropriate action is taken where improvement is needed.

Published Performance Measures
We publish our latest statutory Key Stage 2 performance measures, providing families with clear information about pupil achievement and access to the Department for Education’s published school performance information.
Understanding Our Results
Performance data provides an important measure of achievement alongside our wider understanding of pupils’ progress, curriculum learning, inclusion, attendance, behaviour, personal development and preparation for their next stage of education.
Working Together to Help Every Child Thrive
Strong partnerships between home and school are at the heart of everything we do. By working together, we create the best possible opportunities for every child to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
