Intent

We provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the school. Rookery is purposeful in seeking to give all pupils the best possible education and is adventurous in finding the most effective pedagogy for pupils with a range of abilities. It is values driven and community minded.

Collective Worship: Our collective worship that was observed provides both a learning experience and also has strong spiritual and moral dimension, encouraging the Rookery values throughout. It consists of: information, good questioning and answering and meditative silence encouraging a personal engagement of being thankful.

In RE Rookery follows the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus but have devised their own, or adapted the provided, schemes of work and lesson plans to suit the needs of our own pupils. Bridging links are made to other faiths.
