School meals

School meals are freshly prepared daily on site by our Canteen Staff managed by Debbie Farrerly. We operate a healthy three week rotation menu which caters for all needs on a daily basis.

The charges for school meals are as follows:

 

Nursery Children  -  £1.70 per day - This is £3.40 per week for part- time children and £6.80 per week for full time children.

 

Reception, year 1 and year 2 -  are currently covered by the Universal Free School Meals Grant by the Government and parents are not required to pay.

 

Years 3,4,5,6  -  £2.00 per day / £10.00 per week.

 

Fridays is Pizza Day, a fun way to end the week and  is very popular with the children. It gives the opportunity to children who would normally have a Packed Lunch or go Home for Dinners to enjoy a school meals, at a cost of £2.00 per child.

 

Trips - Children who are entitled  to a Free School Meal will be provided with a Packed Lunch. Children who pay for School Meals are required to bring their own Packed lunch and will  not charged for that day.

 

Processes:

 

All monies should be paid at the beginning of the week or on the first day the child/children return to school. Cash should be handed to the Class Teacher or into the Finance Office in a sealed envelope with the child's name, class and amount clearly marked . The school is  able to except  payment by Debit/ Visa Card payments - this facility is  available in the  Finance Office only.

 

Parents must inform the School by 8.45am if their child/children are not attending school to avoid any charges - this also ensures that the Catering Staff cook the correct amount of meals everyday.

 

Any changes to Meal Arrangements must be done in writing or by completing an Meal Amendment Form from the Finance office. A 7 day notice is required for all changes except in an emergencies.
